BIOGRAPHY
LIXBOX music is the product of
four extremely talented musicians who deliver an exciting and fresh new sound.
Originating in Austin, Texas. LIXBOX has created a distinctive style from a
combination of rock, blues and Texas funk. Their music garners
significant attention from the Austin Music scene. Come on out see why
fans are calling LIXBOX music , "AUSTIN ROCK" and who knows, maybe you
will become a LIXBOX lover too.
Lead
Singer/Guitarist, Brad Falch, has been singing his whole life.
Growing up in Austin, he picked up a guitar at an early age and began performing as the lead singer in various bands
including Mike Kling's
(drummer) band. Brad is dedicated
to providing impassioned vocals and creating the highest quality songs
possible. His
powerful voice, extended vocal range, and audience persona make him well
suited as the band’s lead singer and front man.
Singer/ Lead Guitarist, Larry Schmidt,
born in El Paso, Texas. He had
his first guitar at age 12 and was performing in groups by age 15. Larry
has entertained people through out the southwest and has a very strong musical
background. Larry hooked with Mike
(drummer) in
the summer of 2006. They discovered they
both loved the same style of music. That bluesy rock and roll that when
you close your eyes you can feel it all the way down to your soul, type
of music. Incredible lead technique are a
perfect fit for the homegrown sound of LIXBOX. There are times during
the show that LIXBOX will turn Larry loose and people are always amazed
at the way he handles his guitar. Like no other. Hearing is believing
but seeing is better, don't miss a chance to see this guy perform.
Singer/Bassist, Ann Messer,
a longtime resident of the
East Coast, has found her true home and her musical heart right here in
Austin, Texas. She discovered her calling to the bass by way of kids,
dance, and outdoor music festivals. From the first time she picked up a
bass, Ann knew her life would be changed forever. She got hooked on the
groove, tried out the local band scene, and has carried on her secret
rocker life ever since. Ann has been schooled by one of the best
jazz/blues bassists in Austin, and even so, admits to being a bit "star
stuck" at working with the great musicians of LIXBOX. She brings energy
and joy with her musical talent, and is always ready to rock it out with
the band!
Singer/Drummer, Mike Kling,
grew up in Beaumont, TX which gave Mike a taste
of New Orleans style funk and Zydeco. He tells us that he loves a good solid
pull-em-out on the dance floor, funky, rhythmic beat with swirling accents of
cymbals and toms that create that a swirling, pulsing, feel that just sucks you
onto the dance floor like a strong Texas Gulf undertow. His drumming techniques
support and drive the song of LIXBOX. LIXBOX greatest asset is his genius
sense of touch on the percussions. He is our foundation and the founder
and the spark that holds us together.
Talented musicianship, professional equipment, and a passion to
entertain make LIXBOX the perfect live music entertainment choice for
your private party or any event in any venue, large or small.
