BIOGRAPHY
LixBox music is the product of
four average Texans who deliver an exciting and fresh new sound.
Originating in Austin, LixBox has created a distinctive style from a
combination of rock and blues. Their music has garnered
significant attention from the Austin Music scene and like a Southern
train is picking up speed.
Lead
Singer/Guitarist, Brad Falch, has been singing his whole life.
Growing up in Austin, he picked up a guitar at 19 and, soon after,
began performing as the lead singer in various bands with Mike Kling
(drummer). Brad is dedicated
to providing impassioned vocals and creating the highest quality songs. His
powerful voice, extended vocal range, and audience persona make him well
suited as the band’s lead singer and front man. We have only begun to
hear this guy's potential.
Singer/ Lead Guitarist, Larry Schmidt,
born in El Paso, Texas. He had
his first guitar at age 12 and was performing in groups by age 15. Larry
has entertained people through out the southwest. Larry hooked with Mike
(drummer) in
the summer of 2006 at a neighborhood block party. They discovered they
both loved the same style of music. That bluesy rock and roll that when
you close your eyes you can feel it all the way down to your soul, type
of music. Incredible lead technique, and classic rock tones are a
perfect fit for the homegrown sound of LixBox. There are times during
the show that LixBox will turn Larry loose and people are always amazed
at the way he handles his guitar. Like no other. Hearing is believing
but seeing is better, don't miss a chance to see this guy perform.
Singer/Bassist, Clyde Browning,
hails from Dallas, Texas. He formerly
played the Austin music scene for 10 years, including well known bands
like Shiftless and Blue Cartoon and others. Clyde did a recent four year gig
overseas in Europe, playing the local scene in southern France. Yes he
speaks French now, but failed to learn how to play the accordion. He
has returns to his Austin musical roots and has joined LixBox to express his
artistic rhythms and passion to play and entertain. He also is a
really good guitarist and plays lead on some songs. Very talented.
Singer/Drummer, Mike Kling,
grew up in Beaumont, TX which gave Mike a taste
of New Orleans style funk and Zydeco. He tells us that he loves a good solid
pull-em-out on the dance floor, funky, rhythmic beat with swirling accents of
cymbals and toms that create that a swirling, pulsing, feel that just sucks you
onto the dance floor like a strong Texas Gulf undertow. His drumming techniques
support and drive the song of LixBox. LixBox greatest asset is his genius
sense of touch on the percussions. He is our foundation and the founder
and the spark that holds us together.
Talented musicianship, professional equipment, and a passion to
entertain make LixBox the perfect live music entertainment choice for
your private party or any event in any venue, large or small.
